Heidi Davis-Soylu has been the Lucienne M. Glaubinger Director of Education at the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art since 2018. During her tenure at the museum, Davis-Soylu has built a thriving education department that includes interpretation, arts-based wellness, pre-K–12, university engagement, public experiences, rural outreach, tour, and docent initiatives. She has been instrumental in envisioning the Eskenazi Museum of Art’s new Center for Education. Davis-Soylu also serves as a member of the museum’s senior leadership team. Previously, she was Director of Academic Engagement and Learning Research at Newfields (formerly the Indianapolis Museum of Art), where she led the academic engagement department, including the St. Mary’s Child Center at the museum’s preschool; the Art and Nature Homeschool Cottage; pre-K–12 school, docent, adult, and youth programs; studio classrooms; summer camps; educator professional development; and student and educator tours. She received her MA and PhD in art education from Indiana University, and in 2017, was awarded the Maris M. and Mary Higgins Proffitt Outstanding Dissertation Fellowship.
