Youth & Family

Bring the family

Find excitement in learning together as you explore all that the museum has to offer. Our galleries and Center for Education offer a welcoming environment for children of all ages. Come with friends, family, or anyone else you might enjoy exploring with! Learn more about our programs for young learners and find new ways to interact with art.

Youth Art Month

Continuing more than two decades of collaboration, the museum and the art teachers of the Monroe County School Corporation partner to celebrate national Youth Art Month with a student art exhibition and reception. Throughout the month of March, 100 artworks by kindergarten through sixth-grade students are on display at the museum. Celebrate young artists while exploring with our “Looking and Talking about Art” guides for the whole family to engage with art.

Summer Camp

While much of campus sleeps, summer at the museum stirs with new experiences. Don’t miss our Pre-K12 children’s week-long daycamp at the museum. Led by a teaching artist and preservice teacher team, children will experience the museum as their classroom for summer fun and learning. See our calendar for details.

Family Days

Pre-K12 children and their families are invited to play and learn together in the Art-making Studio. All ages and experience levels can explore materials, methods, and creativity as a family.
