In 2024, the museum launched its Summer Diversity Internship program, which selected five IU undergraduate students that contributed to many different areas of the museum including communication and design, exhibition planning, and object handling. With IU taking a more active role in ensuring that each student has an experiential learning component to their education, the museum aims to offer more opportunities and internships that attract diverse candidates working in all areas of the museum.
