Celebrating a generous gift of photographs from Lee Marks and John C. DePrez Jr., this exhibition explores the motivation to view our world through a camera. Highlighting diverse artistic approaches across photographic history, the works reveal how artists have responded to the natural and built environments, the human form, conflict, and the medium of light itself.

Samuel Levi Jones: An Archaeology of Knowledge

For more than a decade, Indiana-born Samuel Levi Jones has created abstract assemblages with found printed and bound matter, deconstructing encyclopedias, law books, medical texts, and other didactic materials.

The Art of the Party in Ancient Greece and Rome

The Art of the Party in Ancient Greece and Rome highlights the work of fifteen first-year undergraduates, who will develop an exhibition through the College of Arts and Sciences' Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience Program (ASURE).

A patterned woven cloth comprised of cloth strips sewn together. Vertical bands of repeating geometric patterns appear in strips of varying widths and are made with combinations of white, blue, red-brown and black colors.

Textiles that Travel: Nomadic Living in Africa examines the role of textiles—blankets, tents, and clothing—among nomadic cultures. It explores how cloth acts as a portable medium to foster such uses for people pursuing itinerant lifestyles.

Fashioned by Women: Indonesian Clothing presents dyed and handwoven attire made since the nineteenth century across multiple cultures in the Indonesian archipelago. It explores the significant contributions of women artists to create these stunning garments and recognizes their artistry as fashionable dress.
