Conteporary Chinese Artist Chee Wang Ng Makes His Solo Museum Debut at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University

From March 11 to May 7, 2017, the Eskenazi Museum of Art will present Abstract Painting in Europe, 1949-1968, curated by Jenny McComas, the Eskenazi Museum of Art's Curator of European and American Art.

Giambattista and Domenico Tiepolo: Master Drawings from the Anthony J. Moravec Collection will present a collection of works on paper by the Venetian masters Giambattista and Domenico Tiepolo—a father and son who are widely considered two of the most notable Italian draftsmen of their era.

The Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University serves as the only Midwest venue for a major mid-career retrospective of the celebrated contemporary photographer Vik Muniz in fall 2016.

To celebrate the Eskenazi Museum of Art’s 75^thbirthday, each of the five curators has chosen a group of objects for Spotlights: Five Views into the Eskenazi Museum of Art’s Collection. Highlighted for their rarity, research interest, or importance, the selections show the range and quality that make the museum’s collection among the best in the country. 

Designed to introduce visitors to both the traditional visual arts of Kenya and to an important recent acquisition by the IU Art Museum, the exhibition is drawn from a collection of over 200 objects from Kenya acquired by the IU Art Museum in 2014.
