With generous support from the Office of the Provost, we have created an online portal that allows individuals from around the world to study objects from the museum's collection and use them for research, teaching, and more. With the eventual goal of access to all of the works in our collection, this initial launch features 500 select items from each of the museum's five curatorial areas. Whether you know exactly what you want to find, or just want to explore the collection, you'll discover what you're looking for! You can search the collection by keyword, title, or artist. With more than 45,000 works of art, you're sure to find something you've never seen before.
You're welcome to use any information you find in Collections Online to further your own research, teaching, or creative activities. We encourage visitors to explore, make connections, and engage more deeply with our collection through the Collections Online portal.
If you are using this portal for your own research, please use the citation information provided on each artwork page. We love seeing how our collection is being used!
Educators and faculty, you can use the information and images to enrich curricula in any discipline! Find out more here: Teaching with Collections Online.
