This bronze bottle has a short, well-defined neck and a body that tapers from wide shoulder that widens and then tapers to a pointed end. The two thin handles on the side of the neck are used as attachements for the rounded handle from which the vessel hangs. A bottle stopper hangs on a chain suspended from one of the handles.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
