A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a store window with childish drawings and messages drawn in a layer of dust and dirt. A large drawing of a boat with a fishing net dominates the left portion of the window, and the bottom right portion is covered in messages such as "bert", "FRANK", "MATLLA", "The... | NUT", "AG", and the inverted numbers "42" and "38", as if they were written on the interior of the window.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
