A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts a young woman and two young boys in a highly-patterned domestic interior space. The figures are framed on either side by sailing-themed patterned curtains; behind them is a wall with stylized botanical wallpaper, a frame holding a number of small, black-and-white snapshots, and a box plaid curtain. The woman wears a moth-eaten cardigan, a ruffled, patterned blouse, a black skirt, wool socks, and broken loafers.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
