A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a middle-aged, light-skinned man and woman sitting in an armchair and a wooden chair, respectively, in a relatively empty living room. Two young girls, presumably the couple's children, stand off the to the side. The house interior is semi-finished; the stairs are made of unfinished wood and missing risers, and the walls are covered with plain paper.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
