A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts an elderly woman sitting in a domestic interior surrounded by surfaces and boxes of various belongings. The woman has light skin and white hair, and she wears glasses, a black hat, a black dress, a belt, and laced shoes. The room is decorated with geometric wallpaper, frilled curtains, houseplants, and a poster of George Washington; on a table and packed in a crate beside her are kitchen utensils, an oil lamp, spools of twine, and boxes of documents.
