A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a mule standing on a side street between two buildings, held closely by a person with a rope. People gather on the sidewalks. A sign on the brick building to the left reads “WE SELL AND RECOMMEND TUXEDO QUALITY FEEDS | W.R. CATRON & SON.” A smaller sign posted to a pole on the opposite building reads “AUCTION.”
