A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts three children and a dog playing in deep snow next to a house on a hill. More houses line both sides of a street at the bottom of the hill. Larger hills are seen in the distance.
These images were produced for the Farm Security Administration (FSA), a government agency established in the late 1930s to record the way of life on America's farms and small towns and to promote government programs intended to help impoverished rural citizens during the Depression.
