A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a small wooden building with food items and prices handwritten on the windows, including: “SURE JELL", FRESH EGGS”, “FISH TODAY”, "KEROSENE", “MALT”, “5 LB SUGAR”, "10 LB MEAL", “SALT MEAT”, and "SWEET POTATOES." Similar text is repeated on an A-frame signboard in front of the building.
