A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts a portrait of a middle-aged, light-skinned man wearing denim overalls, a suit jacket, a collared shirt, and a tie. The man is depicted from the thighs up, and he holds his arms behind his back, presumably holding a walking stick that is partially visible behind him. He stands in a field that is out of focus.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
