A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a herd of seven cows standing in a grassy field. The cow in the center of the composition looks toward the camera with its head raised; the rest of the cows graze and are varyingly cut off by the horizon line. The sky is dotted with fluffly, white clouds and dominates the composition.
