A horizontal black-and-white image depicts a man walking down a sidewalk lined with American flags and storefronts. The man wears a driver's cap, a tight-fitting "WEST MILWAUKEE HI" t-shirt, and looser pants; he carries an ice cream cone and a sack lunch. A few cars are parked on either side of the street, but no other people are visible in the scene.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
