A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a mailbox with a patch of hollyhock flowers growing behind it. The mailbox is mounted on a rough hewn wooden post, and the name and address "CARL SANDSTROM | R. R. 20 - 440." is stenciled on the side. A dirt road, fields, and trees are visible in the background.
