A square black-and-white photograph depicts a middle-aged light-skinned man wearing black-rimmed glasses and a button-down shirt standing at a store counter using a meat slicer. Behind him is a mulitude of products: canned goods, hanging bananas, newspaper-wrapped goods, and more. His gaze is downcast upon the slicer.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
