A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts two light-skinned men wearing hats and overalls chatting across a buggy filled with an aluminum milk can, blankets, and other objects. One man sits on the buggy as if he has paused driving the horses to chat with the other man who leans against the buggy. Two horses stand still ahead of the buggy, and a dirt road and house are visible in the background.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
