A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts a young, light-skinned woman combing her hair while looking in the mirror of a dresser in front of her. The photograph is taken from behind, so that the woman's full body is visible, but her face is only visible in the reflection of the mirror. Trinkets, bottles, and a hairbrush are arranged on the dresser.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
