A horizontal black-and-white photograph depicts a small building structure with a large window, inside of which a light-skinned man, woman, and boy sit. A sign above the window reads, "SHERIFF," and a telephone is visible behind the smiling woman. The boy takes a sip of a beverage in a glass bottle, and the man wears a hat, obscuring his face.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
