A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts a sign advertising

A vertical black-and-white photograph depicts a sign advertising "Firestone." In the background, a car is visible, but obscured by the sign. The text on the sign reads, "Buy today, PAY LATER | 1. Select WHAT YOU NEED | 2. Arrange CONVENIENT TERMS | 3. Enjoy IMMEDIATE DELIVERY | on the Firestone."

Created under the auspices of the Farm Security Administration, the photographs on this kiosk illustrate not the hardships of Depression-era America, but rather offer plans for economic recovery, distractions in the form of popular entertainments, and visions for the future.
