Upright bowl with a slightly flaring lip underglazed in yellow and decorated with animals and birds in black with green glaze accents.
The city of Nishapur in northeastern Iran was a cosmopolitan center on the route between Asia and the West. It is known for its beautiful polychrome ceramics, which are often decorated with a variety of animal forms.
