Powerfully built guardian figure wearing armor and thickly padded boots standing on small demon-like, supine figure.

Derived from Indian Buddhist traditions this guardian figure with armor, felt boots, and buldging muscles would have been one of a pair guarding a Chinese tomb and its occupants.
