A nude woman depicted in a shade of royal blue stands before a background of gray with short red marks peppered across it. Her arms are raised and bent at the elbows so her hands are at shoulder-level. A red string that begins at her genital region is held and wrapped between her two hands, with a long excess of the string falling to the ground around her feet.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
