Notes:

[1] Per 1981 inventory of the Middeldorf estate in donor files. Middeldorf owned twenty-eight of Vogler’s drawings and prints; the details of their acquisition remain unknown at this time. Former Indiana University Art Museum director Heidi Gealt has stated that, to the best of her recollection, the two men were friends (as per email correspondence with Gealt from August 1, 2022).
