Wave Foam, Sand Dunes in Gary, Lake County, Indiana

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and trained at the University of Kansas, Terry Evans has established herself as one of the country’s premiere landscape photographers. From her aerial views of Kansas farm fields to the urban prairie of Chicago and its surrounds, she captures the geographical and social diversity of the Midwestern region from a vantage point that few have the opportunity to see. Beyond the interest in her subjects, Evans’s works are prized for their subtle interplay of color, texture, and pattern.
