Spouted Flask

Many Italic cultures flourished in Italy in the period between the eighth and second centuries BC. They coexisted, more or less peacefully, with their Etruscan, Greek, and Roman neighbors. The Daunians were a group that settled in Apulia, along the southeast coast of Italy. Their pottery, as this example attests, is characterized by bold patterns and vibrant color.
