Goblet with Cuttlefish

Mycenaean and Minoan cultures existed alongside each other for some time, interacting through trade and in mutual artistic exchange. This elegant cup testifies to this artistic exchange: the chalice-like shape of the cup is a Mycenaean development, but the nautilus subject matter reflects the influence of Minoan "marine style" pottery.
