The Grand Tour: Art and Travel, 1740–1914

This exhibition examines the phenomenon of the Grand Tour, an extended period of travel that was popular with artists and wealthy tourists from the mid-eighteenth to the early-twentieth century. Works are drawn from the permanent collections of the IU Art Museum and the Lilly Library.
