Rainworks founders Peregrine Church and Xack Fischer have installed the largest Rainwork ever created in the plaza in front of the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art. Entitled Mandala, the Rainwork took over eleven hours to install and is almost thirty-four feet in diameter. Continue Reading>>>

Rainworks: Rain-activated Artwork, Coming to the Eskenazi Museum of Art and Bloomington in August

In August, the Eskenazi Museum of Art will welcome Peregrine Church, artist and founder of Rainworks, an initiative of "rain-activated artwork, designed to make a rainy day better." Employing a super-hydrophobic substance sprayed through a stencil onto pavement or concrete, Rainworks creates images that are completely invisible when dry, but re-appear when wet. IU Art Museum receives $15 million gift from Sidney and Lois Eskenazi for renovations. Museum will be renamed in their honor

The Indiana University Art Museum has announced a landmark gift of $15 million from Indianapolis-based philanthropists Sidney and Lois Eskenazi. This is the largest cash gift in the museum's history and a lead gift toward renovation of its I.M. Pei-designed building which opened in 1982. The museum will be renamed the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art in recognition of the couple's generosity. Continue Reading>>>
