To mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this exhibition highlights recent acquisitions by three twentieth-century American immigrant artists. Born in Germany and the Soviet Union, the Jewish artists Hannelore Baron, Günther Aron, and Marc Klionsky fled oppressive regimes and resettled in the United States. Their work reflects experiences of navigating displacement and the challenges of holding multiple cultural identities.
