The husband-and-wife team of Charles and Ray Eames are arguably the most famous designers of the second half of the twentieth century. This Peabody Award-winning documentary, narrated by James Franco, focuses on the duo's relationship, studio practices, and sophisticated, but playful, design aesthetic. The Eameses were also involved with filmmaking, and a short film—inspired by the gift of a toy locomotive from the director Billy Wilder—will precede the feature.

This event is free but ticketed. To acquire advanced tickets please visit the IU Cinema's website

Art and a Movie is sponsored in part by Marsha R. Bradford and Harold A. Dumes.
