Thursday, May 4, 2017
School of Global and International Studies
355 N. Jordan Ave.
Join us for a presentation by David Brenneman, the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art’s Wilma E. Kelley Director, discussing plans for the renovation of the art museum. The art museum will close to the public starting May 15, 2017, to allow for a full renovation of the museum’s I.M. Pei-designed building. The museum is projected to reopen in the fall of 2019. Brenneman will discuss the planning process, details, and goals of the art museum’s renovation. The presentation will be followed by a short Q&A session. Please join us, and learn about the exciting future of Indiana University’s Eskenazi Museum of Art! This event is free and open to the public.
This presentation precedes First Thursday at the art museum, our last major event before the museum closes for renovations. Renderings of the renovated museum will be on view, we will be giving away 1,000 triangle-shaped brownies in honor of museum archtiect I.M. Pei's 100th birthday, and a variety of other fun art-making activities, gallery games, food, drink, and music will be taking place. See you there!
