First Thursdays: Spotlights, Rainworks, West African Dance Party

5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Thursday, September 1, 2016

Start your evening at the museum. Mix and mingle, enjoy world music in the atrium, plus a cash bar and food, participate in interactive art events, and catch live performances. Experience something different the first Thursday of each month at the Eskenazi Museum of Art's new First Thursdays program. Make First Thursdays your evening with the arts on campus.

This month, at 5:15 p.m. art fans will delight in a progressive tour led by the five curators of the museum's Spotlights special exhibition. Enjoy a performance by Epiphany Dance Collective and world music in the atrium starting at 6 p.m. Try new art interactions throughout the evening, no experience necessary. Weave a star as part of Lotus Education and Arts Foundation's "One Million Stars To End Violence" project. And enjoy the museum's new Rainworks installation, rain-activated artwork near the museum's iconic Light Totem. All this and lots lots more.

Make First Thursdays at the museum a regular part of your month, with fun activities for fans of all ages and levels of interest in art. See you at the museum!
