Thematic Tours: From Gauguin's Visions to Polynesian Realities

In conjunction with the National Gallery of Art's loan of The Invocation, Paul Gauguin's 1903 painting, IU Art Museum will offer this special thematic tour. This tour will critically examine Westerners' ideas of Polynesians during the time period and highlight outstanding Polynesian works from the IU Art Museum's permanent collection.
