Simdi Ensemble (Simdi means "now" in Turkish) is a project in the footsteps of the Sufi tradition of Anatolia. Based in Turkey, Simdi is co-founded by singer and composer Bora Uymaz and harpist Sirin Pancaroglu (an IU Jacobs School of Music alumna.) The performance will present Turkish traditional music featuring voice and harp. IU First Lady Laurie McRobbie will introduce the ensemble.
