Shapes, Sights, and Sounds: IU Contemporary Dance at the IU Art Museum

2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Thomas T. Solley Atrium, first floor

IU Art Museum and IU Contemporary Dance proudly present Shapes, Sights and Sounds, original dance performances inspired by works in IU Art Museum's collection of twentieth-century art. These beautiful dance pieces explore the intention, impact, and physical characteristics of selected artworks. Watch texture, color, and form unfold through movement as contemporary dance majors display original choreography in this one-of-a-kind performance.

After the performance, dancers will be available for questions in the IU Art Museum’s Doris Steinmetz Kellett Endowed Gallery of Twentieth-Century Art (first floor), next to the work that inspired them.
