Previously, she was Director of Academic Engagement and Learning Research at Newfields (formerly the Indianapolis Museum of Art), where she led the academic engagement department, including the St. Mary’s Child Center at the museum’s preschool; the Art and Nature Homeschool Cottage; pre-K–12 school, docent, adult, and youth programs; studio classrooms; summer camps; educator professional development; and student and educator tours. She received her MA and PhD in art education from Indiana University, and in 2017, was awarded the Maris M. and Mary Higgins Proffitt Outstanding Dissertation Fellowship.
